Youth Diversion hosted its 42nd Annual General Meeting on Tueday, September 19, 2017 and we want to thank everyone who was present during this event.

Youth Diversion is beyond thrilled to be this year's Charity for the 56th Annual Queen's @medicalvarietynight place on April 10th at 6pm at @thespirekingston Spire. A charity variety show put on by the students of Queen’s School of Medicine. It is a longstanding tradition with participation from over 200 students as well as faculty members. Acts include musical performances, comedic videos, and dance productions such as a Bollywood dance, a cappella group, and humorous videos created by each of the current medical school classes. Congratulations to our Mentor volunteer Tejiri Inikori for receiving the Queens Civic Responsibility Award. Tejiri has not only been a volunteer with us over the past year, but she has been a leader at Queens and in our community.

Tejiri, is truly exceptional due to her unwavering commitment to her academic studies, and her remarkable ability to inspire the youth of our community. Her passion for service and her determination to make a difference in our community makes her a positive role model for all of us.

The 2026 March Hare & Mad Hatter Curling Bonspiel is officially sold out! 12 teams will be gathering tomorrow at the @catgandcc to throw rocks at houses for a good cause. All funds raised will be supporting our Kids Can't Wait initiative in support of our Prevention Programs. There are moments in life that quietly redefine us—brief flashes where, even for a second, we can see beyond the hurt, the trauma, and the isolation we’ve carried. In those moments, possibility comes into focus, and yes, even hope.
Earlier this week, one of our longest-standing clients was given a rare, life changing opportunity to step into the world of the trades. The significance of this cannot be overstated. This single experience has the potential to open doors that once felt out of reach. It’s moments like these that fuel us, reminding us why we do this work and giving us the energy to continue guiding our youth toward their next steps in success. What a pleasant surprise this past Friday when the amazing folks from the @rclbranch560 presented us with a cheque in the amount of $1000 towards our #kidscantwait initiative in support of our prevention programs. This cheque and these funds, when viewed through the lens of prevention, has a value for us in the amount of $10,000. We can't thank you enough for your support and all that you do for our community.
