One of the most effective strategies to mitigate early childhood trauma is to ensure a child and/or youth has access to a SNAP (Safe, Nurturing, Available and Protective) Adult. Being a Mentor makes all the difference. Are you ready to be that change maker? #mentorship #ygk

Congratulation to Caley Mazurski, from North Addington Education Center, who is our 2025 Heather Lynn Well bursary recipient. This award is given out annually to a graduating student who has overcome adversity and is pursuing post secondary education. On behalf of all of us at Youth Diversion, all the best Caley. #2025graduate #resilience

Congratulation to Erin who was the 50/50 winner during this past Saturday's Lobsterfest. A huge shout out to Philippe and all the volunteers who came out to make the 30th a huge success.

With all that is going on in the world today, how about some news to bring a smile to your face. The team at Youth Diversion has been relentless in the support of the Kids Can't Wait Initiative. An anonymous donner stepped up and purchased these work boots so that a young man who struggles with a substance use issue can secure the job he needs to break the cycle of trauma and substances. Our friends at @loblaws_midland_kingston came through, once again, to support a family in need. Just another example of the impact of our Kids Can't Wait Initiative. If you'd like to support this initiative, please follow this link and donate now. https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/15953

Keynote speaker @teerkasha inspires the youth today by championing them to work together, see their potential, and use their voices. She utilized a metaphor of filling a bowl of water to draw a parallel on helping one another.
She leads a non-profit that organizes health-focused initiatives for unhoused communities in the GTA, alongside a team of over 40 youth.
