We have a diverse community of volunteers within Youth Diversion and are always looking for new members. If you are looking to get involved, you can either make a donation through our online sponsorship program, or you can volunteer by filling out or Volunteer Application form.

Volunteer Opportunities

We have several exciting volunteer positions coming up this semester.

Volunteer Orientation:  Volunteers must attend one orientation session and one training session.  (Call or email for dates and times)

Rebound Program:  Rebound is a 10 week cognitive skills program for youth ages 11-17. Volunteers work with youth once a week for 3 hours in a group setting teaching them life skills. Lots of training and support provided.

SNAP (School and non-academic Program):  Volunteers provided academic and non-academic support to students ages 9-17 who are suspended from school.  Volunteers are needed once a week for about 2 hours. Lots of training and support provided.

C.H.A.N.C.E Mentoring Program:  The Mentoring Program matches youth ages  11-17 with an adult volunteer who provides support and guidance to the youth as they work towards achieving their set goals.  Volunteers are asked to commit to 2 hours a week for a period of 6 months.  Lots of training and support provided.

Benefits to volunteering:
In return we offer lots of training, continuous staff support, hands on experience working with at-risk youth, mandatory Police Checks are processed for FREE, dynamic monthly workshops, certificates are given at the completion of your volunteer placement and for attending workshops, opportunity to volunteer in other Programs, open door policy to the Executive Director, car-pooling can be arranged for some sessions.
